An Accurate Evaluation of Maurer's Universal Test

چکیده
Maurer’s universal test is a very common randomness test, capable of detecting a wide gamut of statistical defects. The algorithm is simple (a few Java code lines), flexible (a variety of parameter combinations can be chosen by the tester) and fast. Although the test is based on sound probabilistic grounds, one of its crucial parts uses the heuristic approximation: c(L, K) ∼= 0.7 − 0.8 L + (

AN ACCURATE EVALUATION OF MAURER'S UNIVERSAL TEST Jean-S
Maurer's universal test is a very common randomness test, capable of detecting a wide gamut of statistical defects. The algorithm is simple (a few Java code lines), exible (a variety of parameter combinations can be chosen by the tester) and fast. Although the test is based on sound probabilistic grounds, one of its crucial parts uses the heuristic approximation : c(L;K) = 0:7 0:8 L + 1:6 + 12:...
متن کاملEvaluation of Neutralizing Efficacy and Possible Microbial Cell Toxicity of a Universal Neutralizer Proposed by the CTPA
The purpose of this research was to study the neutralization efficacy of a universal neutralizer proposed by the CTPA on a range of antimicrobial agents and its potential toxicity for microorganisms that are used for antimicrobial preservation testing. Several types of antimicrobial agents including a mixture of methylisothiazolinone and its 5-chloro derivative, dimethylol dimethyl hydantoin, Q...
متن کاملGenesis of and trafficking to the Maurer's clefts of Plasmodium falciparum-infected erythrocytes.
Malaria parasites export proteins beyond their own plasma membrane to locations in the red blood cells in which they reside. Maurer's clefts are parasite-derived structures within the host cell cytoplasm that are thought to function as a sorting compartment between the parasite and the erythrocyte membrane. However, the genesis of this compartment and the signals directing proteins to the Maure...

متن کاملProteomic analysis identifies novel proteins of the Maurer's clefts, a secretory compartment delivering Plasmodium falciparum proteins to the surface of its host cell.
A novel method was validated for the efficient distinction between malaria parasite-derived and host cell proteins in mass spectrometry analyses. This method was applied to a ghost fraction from Plasmodium falciparum-infected erythrocytes containing the red blood cell plasma membrane, the erythrocyte submembrane skeleton, and the Maurer's clefts, a Golgi-like apparatus linked to and addressing ...
